Selldorf Architects is truly honored to have been selected by Dumbarton Oaks for their campus improvement project that will enhance sustainability, K-12 educational activities, and support of the arts and humanities. Working in collaboration with landscape architect Reed Hilderbrand, the proposed Greenhouse Project will comprise two phases: the construction of a state-of-the-art energy-efficient greenhouse to support critical plant care and propagation for the historic garden designed by Beatrix Farrand, followed by the renovation of the historic greenhouse, designed by Lawrence Grant White for McKim, Mead, & White Architects in 1925.
