Exhibition Opening: “Ettore Sottsass: The Glass”

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ettore Sottsass, LE STANZE DEL VETRO is displaying 200 of the Italian architect’s glass and crystal pieces. The exhibition, titled “Ettore Sottsass: The Glass”, was curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, Director of the Institute of Art History of Fondazione Giorgio Cini, and designed by Selldorf Architects. The show is on San Giorgio Maggiore Island in Venice and will be on view from April 10th to July 30th.

New Project: Esther Schipper gallery in Potsdamer Strasse

Selldorf Architects is designing the new Esther Schipper gallery in Berlin’s Potsdamer Strasse gallery district. Located in a former printing and warehouse facility, the new gallery will offer 5,800 sf exhibition space split into a large primary room and a smaller, 1,500 sf space. The inaugural exhibition on April 28 during Berlin’s Gallery Weekend will showcase works by Angela Bulloch and Anri Sala.

Annabelle Selldorf Elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters

There will be an exhibition of art, architecture, books, and manuscripts by new members and recipients of awards on view in the Academy’s galleries on Audubon Terrace from May 18 to June 11.

Selldorf Designs New Boesky West gallery
