Selldorf Architects converted the former Roxy roller rink and nightclub into Hauser & Wirth’s second gallery in New York City. The design transforms this 24,700 sf space into a museum-quality exhibition venue while also preserving many of the Roxy’s distinctive features including its column free layout, wood ceilings, exposed steel trusses, and sweeping entrance stair. Located on West 18th Street in Chelsea, the gallery opens with masterworks from Dieter Roth and his son Bjorn.
